Killer Licks

Killer Licks was commissioned by Michael Harrell for his Hampton Inn hotel on 17th and lavaca in Austin Tx
Its made of stainless steel and bronze plate with pigmented patinas.
Its an indoor stable piece best viewed in the round as it has many beautiful instruments twisted in a tornado affect.
My concept of this piece is that the drummer hit such Killer Licks that the instruments started to dance.
