Music in the Wind (2006)

elcome to my kinetic sculpture site. I plan to dedicate the rest of my time here on earth designing kinetic art using every mechanism I can invent or find. From opposing pinwheels to pendulums to George Rickie's conical movement. I hope you enjoy what I have done so far and visit me from time to time to see what I come up with in the future.

just add wind
The kinetic pieces move in the slightest breeze. Whether turning fast or slow, they are ever-changing sculptural delights.

various metals
All of the kinetic sculptures are made up of Copper, Brass, Aluminum, or Stainless Steel. The copper pieces are patinaed with either chemical or heat-induced rainbow of colors and sealed with a state-of-the-art exterior clear coating.

recycled materials
Many pieces are made of recycled materials . LaPaso spends hours digging in scrapyards, looking for just the right junk. "... then I have the wonderful experience of transforming them into something new."

next generation movement
All of my kinetic sculptures use space-age plastic bearings for generations of outdoor use. These bearings never need to be oiled and are impervious to salt water. In fact water actually lubricates them.
